I just started with Vytal Health recently. What changes for me?
Nothing will change, unless you want it to, until you have been with Vytal Health for a full year. You can continue in your current plan until that point. We will reach out again when it’s time for you to take action
I’ve been with Vytal Health for many years, and I like the current set-up. What does this mean for me?
We appreciate your loyalty and dedication to your health. At this time, there are no alternatives to the new membership options detailed. If you have questions, your care coordinator will welcome those via call or email. We are here to support you!
I get labs done frequently throughout the year. Are these included in the new membership?
The labs included in Vytal Core are intended as a yearly or twice-yearly monitoring/baseline. If you need additional labs in between appointments (for thyroid, or hormones, as an example), these can be ordered by your Vytal Health provider in addition. You may opt to use insurance at LabCorp or Quest, or pay out-of-pocket.
I currently meet with my Vytal Health doctor once every other month. Now I will have to space appointments out to every 3 months. What will happen if something comes up in between?
You still have access to messaging your doctor in between appointments. Each appointment you have can be up to 60-minutes long, so for the majority of our patients, you are going to be offered more 1:1 time with your doctor than you currently get. If you are concerned about the frequency of visits, please reach out to your care coordinator.
I’m currently on the 1-hour plan, and it’s been working well for me. Do I still need quarterly appointments?
We’re making this change because we’ve found that many patients on the 1-hour plan were using messaging in place of appointments. While messaging works well for quick questions or updates, it isn’t the right setting for deeper clinical conversations like reviewing labs, discussing progress, bringing up new symptoms, or making meaningful adjustments to your care plan.
Adding quarterly appointments creates dedicated time for you and your doctor to review the bigger picture of your health together. Our goal is to make sure both patients and doctors have consistent opportunities to review progress, discuss any changes, and adjust care when needed—rather than trying to manage those conversations through messages alone. This helps keep messaging focused on quick communication, while appointments are used for the bigger picture of your health.
